Aww, Shucks!

Mimi and Bumpa were in town over the weekend. Layla had a fun time shucking corn with Mimi. She even took a few bites when it was cooked, too!

We had such a full weekend. Grandparents, a visit to Aunt Trish's (complete with smores!), and a day-long yard sale. Josh sure was tuckered out!

Or maybe THIS is what had him so tired! In the past week he has learned to crawl and to sit and stand in his crib. I think he's days away from some teeth, too. My little guy is 9 months old!

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was filled with bbqs, friends, and SUN! We're so happy that it's finally stopped raining, but 90 degrees is a bit excessive!

We also took time this morning to follow the Lexington parade as wreaths were laid at various sites in the Center. Layla was a big fan of the drums :).

Look at Me!

Earlier this week Josh started pulling to stand. Look how proud he is!

Daddy's Day

Daddy had the kids from 6am until 11pm on Saturday. Thank goodness it was finally sunny and they all could get outside. The highlight of their day was a trip to the zoo with Joshy's girlfriend, Addison. Daddy sure wore the kids out!

While they were doing their thing, Mommy was at her 10 year reunion, doing the MHC thing...similar to this.

In other news, Josh is working on new tricks like ALMOST crawling, knocking down block towers and "flushing the potty" in Layla's toy house (after the last two tricks he looks up for our reaction every single time and then gives us a shining smile).

Apple Blossom Festival

We tried to enjoy every minute outside that we could today, given the forecast of nothing but rain for the next week. After our weekly adventures at Starbucks, music class, and the library we headed out to Westford for their Apple Blossom Festival, which was basically a small carnival. Layla was able to go on several rides, including her first real carousel.

On the way home we hit up the Kimball's Farm ice cream stand in Carlisle. Note: you need not order anything larger than a "kiddie". I don't know how much ice cream they think a kid can eat/needs, but apparently it's a LOT! Layla enjoyed saying hi to the goats and chickens while she ate her ice cream.
