Rainy Day

We had to stay inside today because of the weather. Layla passed some of the time by playing under her gym. A better videographer would have held the camera the other way.

Bathing Suit

Layla had to try on her cute swim suit this morning. I'm not sure if we'll need it on vacation, but we wanted to be prepared. I took an adorable video of her wearing it, and if I can figure out how to get the video off of my phone, then I'll post that, too.

Vacation Fun

Layla tried out two new things today. 1) The stroller in the pic is sort of new. It's the same stroller that her infant car seat snaps into, but today I tried it with the regular seat. She loved it! 2) Shoes! We got a walker for Layla to use out in the yard, so it was time to start wearing shoes.

Summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Layla and I celebrated the last day of school today at a party with the teachers. Layla sported her "Wee Wildcats" onesie (the Wilmington mascot), and she visited with her new friend Alexa, who was born 3 weeks before her. Layla did a great job at the party and even took a 45 minute nap in her Pack n Play....good practice for sleeping in it during our 2 week vacation that begins this weekend. Yay for summer!!!!

Layla and I walked to a new playground today (new to us). While I was pushing her on the swing, some boys starting hollering. They'd spotted this snapping turtle snoozing in the shade of the playground stairs. It was HUGE!

Busy Weekend!

Layla has had quite the weekend. Grampa and Charley came down from Maine for a visit. We spent the day with them and with Aunt Beth in Boston, which involved Layla's first trip on the T and her first visit to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. In the evening Trish and Kassam came over with Ryan and Sarah and we had a fun time grilling and visiting. Sunday morning we got up early for an 8:30 soccer game (we got our butt kicked, 0-6). Soccer must have worn Layla out, because she came home and slept for 3 hours!

Layla was in such a great mood all weekend. Grampa doesn't believe us that she gets fussy at night!
