Dedication Day

We had Josh's dedication at church today. Grandpa, Aunt Trish, Uncle Kassam, Ryan, Sarah, and Aunt Jen all joined us for the service. Both Josh and Layla did a great job throughout the service; it's a lot to ask kids their age to sit in a pew for an hour! Here's a pic of Josh in his cute overalls that he wore for the ceremony.

Yesterday was the Sheepshearing Festival in Waltham. Among other things, the kids enjoyed seeing animals and playing games. Here is Layla showing the chickens the monkey mask that she made.

Josh played with this hoop for a good 20 minutes!

Happy Easter

The kids slept in for once...until 6 am!....so that's when Easter got started. Layla had a blast looking for eggs and eating nothing but chocolate for breakfast!

After egg hunting, we got ready for church. It is sooo difficult to get a picture with everyone looking, and smiling.

After church Layla was able to enjoy the nice weather for once. Too bad it's going to rain most of the rest of the week.

The day ended as it often does, with Layla holding Josh's hand as he dines on milk.

Trip to CT

We went down to CT last Saturday for a visit with cousins Daniel and Sofia. Grandmommy and Granddaddy and Uncle Jim drove up from PA to join us. It was the first time that they'd seen all four grandkids together!

The Stone Zoo

It has been a hell of a week at our house. Can I say 'hell' on my kids' blog?? I think so. The stomach bug and the flu did some serious damage around here, but we FINALLY seem to all be on the mend.

Daddy ran a fever for 3 days and so in an attempt to let him rest yesterday, I took the kids to the Stone Zoo. It's kind of a small zoo, but the perfect size for us, and only 25 minutes away. For anyone back in PA, it's similar to the Elmwood Park Zoo.

Layla had a blast and particularly enjoyed the flamingos...and the playground :).

We spent some time this evening weeding and playing outside. Finally....warm(ish) weather!
