Vacation Days

Despite this being the worst vacation EVER, considering how sick we were, Layla and I still managed to fit in some fun craft projects. Here are our new friends.

Happy Presidents' Day!

One of Josh's favorite spots to hang out is in his Bumbo within an arm's reach of his baby gym.

Layla is on the rebound from the stomach bug. No more vomiting, but she's still losing plenty of fluids (I'll leave it at that!). And she has ZERO appetite. Today she consumed diluted milk, 2 yogurts, and one chicken nugget. And that's more than she ate yesterday. She won't touch any of the things the docs recommend to ward off dehydration. Won't even eat crackers or cookies, which she normally devours.

So far Josh and Daddy have been spared. Mommy's beginning to think she might be have a touch of it. Time will tell.

Growing Up!

Josh loves to hold his bottle, even if it's just for a few seconds. He's getting better at it every day...even held it long enough for me to take this pic today!

In other news, Josh has a bad cold and cough and Layla has a stomach bug. So Chris and I have been spending this weekend alternating between cleaning up mucus and cleaning up vomit. Good times!

Firegirl

Layla and Mommy hung out at Kidspace in Belmont today while Josh and Daddy had fun at home with a bath and dinner prep.

More Sisterly Love

Once again, Layla spent some time this evening entertaining Josh....this time with the ABCs.

Daddy is in Charleston this week, so we sent this video to him to show him we're getting by. We've actually had two relatively easy evenings. I am crossing my fingers for repeat performances tomorrow and Thursday before Daddy comes home on Thursday night (weather permitting!).

About halfway through she takes his hand and helps him to play with the toy. My favorite part is when she helps him cheer at the end.
