Little Artist

Layla really loves to draw and color. I love how, for the most part, she intentionally colors the objects on the page...instead of just scribbling all over.

Here are some recent drawings from daycare. Denise said she can always tell which ones are Layla's because she's the only one who does circles.

Penguins and Seals and Cousins, Oh My!

On Saturday we hit up the New England Aquarium for the first time. Layla was a little uncertain at first, but eventually warmed up to the critters. She especially loved the penguins.

Then on Sunday, Daddy headed to a conference in Vegas and Mommy took Layla to visit cousins Ryan and Sarah in NH. The kids had so much fun chasing and horsing around. It's obvious that Layla loves her cousins (and not just because the day ended with ice cream at a farm, complete with "baaas" (Layla's word for sheep)).

Layla and I spent a few days in CT with cousins Daniel and Sofia. There were too many great pictures not to share them all!

Ben Rudnick and Friends

Friday night we went out to eat at Mario's in Lexington Center. We've decided this is the best local restaurant to bring Layla to. It's family-friendly, and most importantly, the food comes out quickly so she doesn't get bored before we even start eating. Food's not too bad, either! We followed up dinner with a free children's concert on the common. Layla LOVED dancing along to Ben Rudnick and Friends. She went right up to a huge group of preschoolers and got her groove on with them. Here she is dancing with Dad.
